Pranayama

Pranayama – control of prana (vital energy, or Qi energy in the Chinese doctrine) with the help of breathing exercises in yoga. This is a very ancient tradition and is one of the steps (the fourth stage of yoga). The term pranayama consists of two Sanskrit words – prana and pit. The term refers to a prana breath, life, life energy. The notion of hole in Sanskrit means stop, control or management. Therefore, pranayama is often defined as the technique of conscious breath control, which includes a system of breathing exercises.
Pranayama is of great practical importance. Pranayama practice – it’s a great prevention and even treatment of lung diseases.
