Colin Jones was born in Liverpool and started his Martial Arts training with the then British Ju Jitsu Association at the age of 3 under Sensei Alan Campbell. After a number of years he followed Sensei Campbell to the World Ju Jitsu Federation where he trained at their headquarters in Fazakerley taking his 1st Dan black belt at the age of 14.
At the age of fifteen Colin was teaching his first class at Bootle Sports Centre as well as assisting at the Fazakerley classes. On leaving school Colin was offered a full time teaching career with the World Ju Jitsu Federation that he accepted and spent many happy years working with and learning from Professor Robert Clark. His teaching took him all around Europe and enabled him to meet and train with some of the worlds Masters of Martial Arts. In 1993 Colin Jones left the World Ju Jitsu Federation and founded Nippon UK.
Nippon UK now boasts in excess of 20,000 members and Colin splits his time between the UK and Spain.
